“Breakout PVP,” live as of July 15, is starting with PVP matchups for Counter Strike: Global Offensive, one of the most popular competitive games in the world. Breakout plans to expand its platform in the future, adding games such as Dota 2, Minecraft and League of Legends.
Players can compete on the platform for free, but they can also play for money by wagering Breakout Coin or the fiat currency of their choice.
The company believes that its eSports PVP platform will allow it to expand its reach by tapping into the rapidly growing, global community of competitive gamers.
Breakout Gaming Director Gian Perroni says, “We’re enthusiastic about adding eSports to our gaming portfolio. It is a great fit with our current poker site and fits well with our pending sportsbook and fantasy sports products coming this fall.”
“The games offered on our new site are best of the bread,” Perroni continues, “and each one has tens of millions of players engaged.”
In addition to the launch of its PVP platform, the company is partnering with Gaimerz, an eSports wagering service.
Gaimerz co-founder Martyn Denny commented on the collaboration, telling press, “Gaimerz.com Ltd is delighted to be working with Breakout Gaming as they launch what promises to be a market-leading online eSports platform.”
“As a result of our partnership,” Denny adds, “instant verification of every game outcome will now be possible, allowing players to focus solely on winning challenges.”
The company is currently in the middle of a crowdsale for Breakout Stake (BRX), hosted by the Bittrex cryptocurrency exchange. The crowdsale started on July 10, and is set to run until July 24. Once the sale is complete, it can be traded against Bitcoin on the same exchange. Those interested can take part in the BRX crowdsale here.
